[list type=”ul” style=”5″]^Held Chair’s Council meeting/presentation with John Palmieri of CRDA and Liza Cartmell of AC Alliance.^Reestablished Chamber Advocacy Committee and identified three major areas of focus: Social Services, Business Competitiveness/Attraction and Legislative Issues.^Initiated regularly scheduled meetings with CRDA, AC Alliance, and Tourism District Commander Tom Gilbert to coordinate efforts with business community.^Worked with state legislators to initiate proposed new legislation that would enable Atlantic City to benefit from a program like the state’s Urban Transit Hub Tax Credit Program.^Authored letter to editor in support of Senator Whelan’s guest column on relocation of social service agencies and in support of related proposed legislation by Assemblymen Amodeo and Brown.^Presented AC Alliance Community Forum to solicit community input and ideas for branding campaign.^Provided testimony supporting sports betting issue to legislative subcommittee.^Advocated for Price’s Pit Landfill site in Pleasantville to be selected by EPA as possible solar energy generation location.^Presented Forum for business community and community at-large to provide input on CRDA Tourism District Master Plan.^Promoted Small Business Saturday event via public/media relations efforts.^Presented “Conversation with Governor Christie” event to Chamber members.^Presented “Meet the Candidates” Forum for District 2 state office candidates.^Supported CRDA plan to enhance Boardwalk lighting[/list]
