The Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce held a Policy Impact Series luncheon with Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill, Democratic Candidate for Governor, on August 25, 202,5, at Seaview Golf Course. During the event, Congresswoman Sherrill highlighted key policy priorities that impact the greater Atlantic City region, including improving public transit, housing, and public safety. A key focus of her proposals is to make it easier to do business in the state, where she plans to streamline and simplify the new business licensing and permitting processes, and eliminate certain business registration fees. Additionally, she stated her intention to declare a state of emergency on utility costs to freeze rate increases and to invest in South Jersey public transit so that NJ Transit is not seen as “North Jersey Transit”. She promised to ensure that Atlantic County receives its fair share of government funding for critical projects.
By providing access to policymakers, the AC Chamber helps its members advocate for their interests and ensures that the business community’s voice is heard and the concerns of the local business community are not overlooked.
The Policy Impact events offer a unique forum for chamber members to directly engage with and learn about the policy priorities of key policymakers.
Join us for our final Policy Impact Luncheon with Former Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli, Republican Candidate for Governor, on Tuesday, October 7, at Seaview Golf Club
