Fox Rothschild LLP partners led an engaging Chamber Power Lunch & Learn designed to help small business owners navigate critical employment law issues. This virtual session was held on September 26, 2025. The presentation covered three essential areas:

Adam Busler highlighted the importance of Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) as a cost-effective safeguard against employment-related claims. All three speakers emphasized the value of consistent policy application, respectful workplace culture, and positive employee relations to reduce litigation risk.
Eileen Muskett explained the complexities of leave management, including statutory requirements and reasonable accommodation obligations, stressing the need for consistency in handling requests. The panel also outlined best practices for fair and defensible terminations in New Jersey’s at-will employment environment—emphasizing thorough investigations, objective documentation, and confidentiality.
The session concluded with updates on New Jersey’s one-party consent law for recordings and anticipated regulatory changes affecting independent contractor definitions and protected classifications.
