Galloway, New Jersey – August 13, 2009 – United Way of Atlantic County today announced that the 2009 Sun National Bank Golf & Sporting Clays Invitational will be held on Friday, October 2 and will honor Buena-resident Bart Speziali with the Thomas J. Kuhar Founder’s Award.

"As we enter our 14th year, I’m proud to say that not only has this event stood the test of time through economic highs and lows, but we have continued to raise funds and make a difference to the local community," said Thomas J. Kuhar, founder of the Golf & Sporting Clays Invitational and Founder’s Award namesake. "Seeing the smiling faces of those we help is why we do what we do, and we hope more people will join us this year to make a difference."

This year’s Thomas J. Kuhar Founder’s Award will be presented to Buena-resident Bart Speziali, who currently serves as executive vice president of Wholesale Banking at Sun National Bank. "Bart is the quintessential ‘go to’ guy, whether for business, community or personal support," said Thomas X. Geisel, president and CEO of Sun National Bank. "He has been there to show his support to countless individuals and organizations over the years, and choosing him for this award is a small gesture of gratitude for his very large and meaningful contributions to our community."
