  • AC Air Show Economic Impact Study

    Evidence suggests that last month’s Atlantic City Air Show, "Thunder Over the Boardwalk," was not just an overwhelming artistic and spectator success, but a huge win for business also. Based on a study conducted by the Center for Regional Business Research at Atlantic Cape Community College, the 2008 Airshow resulted in an estimated $56.6 million in overall regional economic activity, which translates into the creation of 619 regional jobs and $16.3 million in earnings.     The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) recently approved a series of measures that will result in more than $33 million worth of investment in the New Jersey economy. This comes on the heels of a $1.69 million CRDA commitment to help fund the NextGen Aviation and Research Technology Park. Read more

    It is no secret that members of Congress are trying to reform the country's health care system to lower costs and insure more people. The President wants to have these changes in place by the end of the year. The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors recently weighed in on the issue. They believe health care reform is necessary, and there are several proposals the Board supports- while others it vehemently opposes.
