Roger Mussa of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Northfield
Named President of the Board for The National MOM Squad.

Roger Mussa of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Northfield has been named Advisory Board President and Director of Strategic Program Planning and Development/Fundraising for The National MOM Squad (where "MOM" stands for "Mothers On a Mission"). The National MOM Squad is a not-for-profit organization founded by mothers of athletes and celebrities whose mission is to help at risk youth through various fund-raising events throughout the year across the country as well as at each year's Super Bowl hosting community.

The National MOM Squad supports many different charities and programs including Arts and Culture, Health, Education, Humane Services, and Civic and Public Affairs just to name a few. A few beneficiaries of The National MOM Squad's efforts include Inner City Police Athletic League Centers, NFL Youth Education Town Academy, The Neat Stuff Organization, The Dallas Inner City Community Development Corporation, F.A.C.T. - a Gang and Crime Prevention Program for Teens in Oklahoma, The Soul Food Festival, Alpha House of Tampa, and the If I had Known Foundation.

Roger was entrusted to build and lead a newly formed Advisory Board to provide strategic leadership for the organization. The Board's mission is to help The National MOM Squad improve its structure and efficiency, deliver their message, build brand awareness and visibility, assist with fund raising efforts and embark on a membership drive that will welcome all mothers who want to help make a difference.

"What attracted me to this opportunity was the energy and the ability to make a difference on a national level. Mothers of athletes and entertainers often want to help, but their busy lifestyles often do not have a structure to facilitate their initiative. The National MOM Squad provides that structure. Our ultimate goal is to have many chapters across the country working in unison", said Roger. "One of the many things we are currently working on includes a Radio-Thon alongside ESPN Radio beginning in October with the mothers of the Baltimore Ravens. After that, we will have five additional NFL city stops. I am in the midst of coordinating a Fashion Show and Dinner on Super Bowl week in Miami, with the proceeds of that effort benefiting a local organization, which will be selected by a committee. These efforts are fun and also make a huge impact."
